Associate Attorney – Estate Planning
Location: Melbourne, FL
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
A well-established law firm in Melbourne, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in estate planning to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on sophisticated estate planning matters, providing high-quality legal services to individuals and families.
Responsibilities:
Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives.
Advise clients on asset protection strategies, wealth transfer, and tax implications.
Handle probate and trust administration matters.
Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel on estate planning issues.
Work directly with clients to develop customized estate plans that align with their goals.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
Stay up to date with relevant state and federal estate planning laws.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
3-5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Strong drafting and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus.
Experience with elder law, Medicaid planning, or business succession planning is a bonus.
Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
