Preform Solutions is a thriving, locally owned plastic manufacturing company known for our commitment to quality and innovation. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Plant Manager to oversee production across all shifts and ensure our operations run smoothly.

The Plant Manager will play a key role in supervising and coordinating the activities of our production team. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage daily operations, optimize processes, and uphold safety standards. You will collaborate with various departments to achieve production goals and maintain our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior leader overseeing all production and warehouse operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
• Work with management to ensure employees and visitors in the production area are following company policies and procedures.
• Manage daily plant operations by walking the production and warehouse floor and communicating with employees.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, food safety procedures, GMPs, and company policies.
• Supports company commitment to continuous improvement, safety, quality, and customer service
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure shipping and receiving department is operating efficiently.
• Determine adequate headcount to meet needs of departments; conduct interviews and hire corresponding staff.
• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop production staff to meet performance targets.
• Address corrective action timely and conduct terminations as necessary
• Establish production and quality control standards with the production team.
• Work with the quality control team to ensure product standards are met.
• Analyze production data and generate reports for senior management.
• Establish communication between departments and shifts.
• Ensure regular communication with management regarding daily operations and activities on the production floor.
• Will need to respond to inquiries by employees or managers via work-issued phone during off-work hours as needed

Education and Experience:

• 10 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple shifts and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing
• Proficiency in production management software and tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office
• Hands-on management style
• Willingness to spend majority of work time on the production floor directing, communicating, and completing hands-on work
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time

Compensation:

• A relocation package may be available for qualified candidates.
• Salary of up to $150,000 + bonus, + incentive, actual pay based on education and experience.

Operational Hours: Preform Solutions, Inc. operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. This position primarily involves working dayshift hours Monday to Friday. Night and weekend work will be required at times as necessitated by business needs.
